Bootham Update 1.5.0

Hey. I just want to start this off by saying thank you to everyone who has supported Bootham over the past few months and I really appreciate the people who have given the game such high ratings which caused Bootham to be rated the best game on the WHOLE of GameJolt.

So what’s been updated you ask? Well… I have included things which people have suggested and I have fixed glitches people found when playing Bootham. Updates and fixes include:

Fixes shadow glitches
Fixes door interaction glitch
Fixes Player collider size
Addition of a different cursor
Jump scares
More robust game/scripting
Fixes floor texture alignment
Cabinet box collider
Better GUI alignment due to permanent window resolution
Mainly, A more playable and enjoyable game!

Its Out!
Bootham is finally out! So quit reading this Devlog and go and play it yourself and tell me what you think of it.

Hey, I’ve now come to a point in the development of Bootham where I have decided to release the game! The early access has been on gamejolt for 3 full months and it’s about time it was released.

I have taken all game recommendations in concideration and fixed problems people complained about. I mentioned this in my last devlog. Since then I’ve added a few new features all together, like keys you have to find plus more.

I have decided that Bootham will be released Saturday the 10th of December! The game will be avalable for download on windows deceives and will playable online! So every one can play it. Even though the game will be released as a finished game it doesn’t mean that there won’t be updates. I am already planning on adding in extra missions in different places, But this does all depend on the success of this game. Version 0.5.5:
I first of all want to say thanks to every one who has viewed, downloaded and followed Bootham since I released the early access 21 days ago.

Since then I’ve released the latest early access which has had many suggestions that people have mentioned in YouTube videos, comments and in private message which have all been taken into account. One of these suggestions were the difficult controls as the user had to enter a different key input for each interaction. I have now made it so all interactions are done with a simple left click. The added feature of a timer has also been added which makes it harder and puts the gamer under perssure to complete the game. The latest feature to be added is the voice of the main player. This has kindly been done by @shadowsFate. Another small thing to be mentioned is the emproved typos which were pointed out by gamers on YouTube.

Overall the game has been emproved quite a bit since the last early access version ‘0.5.5’ and I aim to have the game released as soon as possible.
