У вас есть два набора карт - один используется во время исследования туннелей, а другой - во время боя. Пробираясь по туннелям, вы будете сражаться с монстрами и собирать новые карты. Ключ к успеху заключается в том, чтобы улучшать карты и находить мощные комбинации, которые могут нанести серьезный урон.
Есть небольшие проблемы со звуком, когда вы доберетесь до поздних боссов, но в остальном это очень отполированный прототип. Художественное оформление фантастическое, дизайн карт и монстров великолепный, а поиск наилучших способов синергии карт доставляет массу удовольствия. Настоятельно рекомендуется.
Foresights
• As foresights get added to the starting pool, their locations in the world are replaced with a foresight choice from your starting pool.
• Added “Ready to snack”
• You get given a foresight choice when you beat the game, based on the foresights collected in your run. The chosen foresight gets added to the starting pool.
• There is a hand.
Settings
• Added exposure graphics setting.
• Added chromatic aberration setting.
• Disabling ambient occlusion now actually improves your performance.
• Added wip “lock camera during combat”. The positions of cards and enemies have not yet been accounted for, and you will likely end up in a situation where something you want is off screen.
• Added “delete save” button that will remove your meta progress and restart your run.
Map
• Fixed map hand back being too bright.
• Fixed map not appearing between combat and explore when you attempt to open it.
• The map visuals have been redone to hopefully be a bit easier to understand.
• The map icons now have tooltips.
• The map is still annoying.
• Fixed tunnel T07A mistakenly connecting to T07B, causing you to have an extra tunnel, before getting to the Moss Boss.
Cards
• Cards with multiple attacks now display their description correctly.
• Added “Pumpkin Bomb”
• Added “Pumpkin Pie”
• Added “Distant Shadow”
• Added “Unholy Pact”
• Card text area should be a bit bigger, when there is space available.
• Added some missing card art.
• Fixed loop with dented thermos and ravenous leading to infinite healing. Dented thermos now exhausts when played.
• Puck around was OP as fried chicken so it costs more soz.
Status effects
• Introduced more cards with spell weakness.
• Megashroom and its minions now explode for their current health, after a countdown.
Door
• Doors now have tooltips
• Sneaky mole door icon updated.
Enemies
• Enemies no longer become super dark when they die.
• Lekkerlimbs reinforcements have been tweaked.
Player
• You can no longer walk past the backpack and get stuck.
Backend
• Save data manager used for meta progression, foundation for Save/Load functionality.
• Big card refactor so we can do cooler things in future updates.
• Added new bugs to discover!
Shroom and Gloom is a fungus-filled hand-drawn first-person dungeon-crawling roguelike where you use cards to battle hordes of fungal abominations.
Currently in development by TeamLaserBeam (creators of Wrestling With Emotions and Snow Cones), Shroom and Gloom is a stylish and addictive deck-building roguelike where you can rack up some truly monstrous mega-combos. In the game you travel forwards through a network of tunnels in search of the heart of The Gloom.
You have two sets of cards – one which is used while exploring the tunnels and one that’s used during battle. As you make your way through the tunnels you’ll battle monsters and collect new cards. The key to success revolves around upgrading cards and finding powerful combos that can do some serious damage.
There are some minor sound issues once you reach the later bosses, but aside from that it’s a very polished prototype. The artwork is fantastic, the card and monster designs are great, and figuring out the best ways to synergize your cards is a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
