Tron-Zero R1 или просто Tr-Zero - это инди-игра от одного из пользователей "3D Rad". Являясь поклонником фильма "TRON", автор решил воссоздать одну из интересных особенностей вселенной. Ей стали футуристические гонки на светоциклах. Хотя у финальной версии всего один трек и несколько настроек, автор обещал продолжить работу над игрой + в сеть был выложен исходный код.

Replays!
Replay system now in place for all offline games (except time trial)
Multithreading
Multithreading code has been completely re-written and is now default for the game.
Audio/Mesh/Network/Replay file stream, all offloaded from the master thread.
Phantom Racetrack
The racetrack Phantom has been added to the game. Visuals are not complete for this environment.
Balance Changes
Speedclass Unlocks
Speedclass is now an unlock. Replaces Boost Factor upgrade.
Boost Factor
Boost Factor upgrade has been removed.
The boost factor is now fixed as this is to ensure boost is consistent across all speed classes.

Balance Changes:
- AutoPilot 2.0
Now useful!
The AutoPilot 2.0 does the following when active:
- Activates Boost
- Gives you full energy
- Yes, it actually rocks!
- Upped the default speed for all speed classes, lowered the boost multiplier to compensate (eg: more focus on core speed, instead of boost)
New 250cc = Slight increase to previous (this is still a "innate/beginner" group);
New 500cc = 750c;
New 750cc = 1000c;
New 1000cc = over 2200km/h with boost
- Tweaked the AI Steering Methods.
Ai steering is now more like the player steering (smoother, less snappy, more separation, more use of breaks).
Ai will also use more of the track width. Previously, they would stay fixed in the center.
Still more work to do on this.
- Changes to Internal strafing methods
Bike strafing has now been lowered and inverted. Should feel more natural.
Player Cameras
All player race camera presets have received a passover to improve race visibility.
Audio:
- Hitsounds
Good to know if your hitting your targets Sound to be replaced when Eddie gets some time.
Visuals:
Pointlights
- Initial Point-lights added to the game (currently headlights and players secondary weapons)
RaceTracks
Small visuals updates to Silence.
As with all tracks, they are all unfinished and "work in progress". We are still waiting for the assets to be completed by the team.
Bug Fixes:
MultiThreading
Single Threading is now the default application for now. This is due to player feedback and stability.
Experimental Multithreading can still be accessed by running the trzero_mt.exe, or, the start menu shortcut.
We need feedback on the Multi-threading. Please report any crashes to us with system specs!
0.702a > 0.706 (Hotfix)
HotFix:
- Multiplayer, Lobby disconnect issues have been resolved.
- Networked Clients will no longer toggle other clients ready status.
Additions:
- Added Low poly 750cc+ bike model (Dave's Bike) for all Ai Bikes (Further optimizations to come)
- Added early Crash Animations (Good olde Arcade Style!)
- Look back, Press "D" or Xbox "RB"

- General increase to secondary weapon damages at all levels
Patch Notes 0.655a > 0.702a
Main Notes:
0.702a contains some major master server networking updates which allow for easy online play. This build is mainly to test the performance and stability of this new system.
The guys are working hard on the environments for Tr-Zero and they are exciting! However, none of the environments are completed yet so haven't been included in this release.
But good news!
I have added another race track to the game "Silence". The Envrioment is a simple visual template, and, will be replaced with Rob's version once completed. Its the least i can do .
Major Bug Fixes:
- Graphics Optimiser
Added a option to "Force Bypass" the optimizer. This will allow users who experience repeated issues with the optimiser to play the game.
Using the "Force Bypass" option will:
- Allow you to skip the optimiser, at your chosen resolution
- disable network modes.
- User minimal GFX settings
- Double Damage
When double damage is active, the upgrade which converts damage output to energy now works.
- Network Host
The network host can now click "back" in the Network Host menu to instantly drop the server. Previously had to wait for clients to disconnect.
Programming - Network:
- Master Server Abilities
Will allow you to quickly find active internet games and connect (eg: no need to type in IP addresses).
- General Improvements
- Player names now transferred over network (eg: know who your playing against )
- Ready check for online games. Will only start once all users toggle ready by pressing start.
- Spectate mode improvements.
- Bandwidth optimizations (Data compression for Int/Quat data)
- End race now waits for all players to finish. Previously, host could exit game once they finished
- Lan update rate set to 30/second, Internet rate set to 20/second.
Programming - Gameplay:
- New RaceTracker system.
Tracks all bikes in the game, gives 100% accurate position based on kills or laps/waypoints relative to gametype.
The bugged position counter in 0.655a is completely gone!
- Wrong way direction check
Feel like going backwards? You'll die and receive a respawn relative to your last waypoint.
- Weapon Race/Annihilation Respawns!
These gamemodes now include automatic respawns for all bikes. Respawn location is relative to your last waypoint.
40 Bikes races are now 40 bike races!
- Fastest Laps + Time Trial timers
Time Trial now contains previous, current, and fastest lap information.
Fastest laps are recorded in all races and saved.
All this information will be added to the menu at some point, and, I'am looking to expand this in the future with online stats.
- Scoreboard
Scoreboard! shows player names, kills, deaths, lap and positions relative to gametype. Will also show player names in online games.
"F1" or "Xbox Back" to toggle.
- Killboard
Initial killboard created. Shows who killed who at the top of the screen in any weapon race.
This, and all UI systems will be expanded on and visually cleaned up in the future.

Programming - MultiThreading:
Updated the experimental mutlithreading system to offload Mesh/Audio/Culling/Network processing from the core thread.
With multithreading, users should experience a smoother gameplay experience, as, calculation intensive updates are offloaded to the new thread.
As this is still in experimental stage, a SingleThread.exe will be available for those users who experience issues with multithreading.
