Enola — хоррор / адвенчура о серийных убийствах.
Вы начинаете игру на безлюдном острове. Первое, что приходит в голову: «Кто я? Как я здесь оказался? С какой целью?». От всего этого голова идет кругом. Вы начинаете свой путь в поиске хоть каких-то зацепок, но все тщетно. Чуть позже вы обнаруживаете мертвые тела и от этого вопросов и догадок становится только больше...
На острове вы посетите различные локации, решите множество головоломок, будете искать улики, дабы раскрыть тайну о серийных убийствах и, возможно, узнать всю правду. Ну, а нагнетающая атмосфера и чувство неизвестности лишь усиливают эмоции от прохождения.

Прототип этой игры был создан специально для конкурса LD 22, который, как вы видите вылился в полноценную игру. Хочется пожелать автору удачи и наискорейшего завершения своего детища.
v0.11:
• This update only features bug fixes and small changes. The biggest issue was the game not allowing players to advance any further after finishing the cabin level. This bug has been fixed.
• Fixed a problem with the menu that caused the options settings not being saved.
• The shadow man attack sequence has been reworked. The “hellish room” shadow man sequence was also changed, and it’s now more brutal.
v0.10:
• Although Enola has always been about not holding the player’s hands, this version includes a simple “hint system” or “reaction system.” Basically what this means is that, sometimes when you pick up an item or solve a puzzle, your player will “react” by delivering a line that hints what to do next. This is completely different to an “objectives system” where you’re constantly told what to do or where to go.
• There have been some visual changes and improvements in some areas. Some of these changes are also meant to guide players a little better, while still maintaining the sense of discovery.
• Launching the game in full screen would usually cause crashes and other problems. Now when you first launch Enola, it runs in windowed mode. You’re taken to the options menu where you can change the resolution, and automatically Enola will switch to full screen mode.
• Sometimes when you first run Enola, it performance can be low. You just need to close it and launch it again.
v0.9:
• This release includes some bug fixes and performance improvements.
• Almost all UI elements have been updated, including puzzle UIs.
• The pause menu now includes a “control help” screen.
• A lot more audio content has been put into the game, but obviously we still have a lot more work to do.
• Audio levels have been adjusted to avoid any extreme loud sounds and such.
• The island, church and cabin levels have gone through some visual changes (some bigger and more notorious than others). There are even a couple of new areas. On the other hand, The Midnight Heaven level remains pretty much unchanged.
• New character models are in: the nameless red cloaked figure, the Monster, and the player character mesh. Also, you can see your character’s reflection in mirrors.
• The “Monster” sequence, where a male figure grabs you and tries to beat you up has been implemented.
• The save spot picture has been changed. This change has also been made to the game icon.
• The game launcher now features a Steam Greenlight button.
v0.8:
• This release includes mostly bug fixes and performance improvements.
• Fixed the missing items bug that happens in some areas of the game, causing some items to randomly disappear and thus blocking game progression.
• Improved performance on the island. The trees on the island have been replaced with lighter ones, so frame rate should no longer be an issue. Draw distances have also been tweaked so less things are being displayed on the screen.
• Added saving slots functionality, allowing players to keep up to 5 simultaneous playthroughs.
• Fixed some bugs related to displaying text messages. Some messages would be missing or be displayed incorrectly.
• Fixed a bug that would cause a floating arm to appear on the screen when interacting with certain puzzles.
• Fixed some sound levels, as some sound effects would be too loud or would playback incorrectly.
• Made some visual changes. The tower stand-in geometry on the floating island has been replaced with the actual tower model. An array of stairs and catwalks has been added to this floating island and can be used to travel to the main island without having to go all the way back through the path between the mountains. The church model on the island has been replaced. Some areas in the chapel have been changed and new props added. There are also changes in the cabin, improving on visual storytelling.
Enola, currently under development, is a horror/adventure game about serial killings. You're an unnamed character (maybe a person?) in a desolate island, without any knowledge on who you are and what you're doing there. In the island, you will visit different locations, solve puzzles and find clues to uncover mysteries about such serial killings, about who the killer is, and maybe your own identity.
Enola combines exploration, puzzle solving, death traps, and unnerving situations. Enola is not the kind of game that features scary monsters, because it focuses on a kind of fear that explores the human nature.
