Demo v0.4.0:
I've uploaded an updated version of the demo, once again! Most of the changes are behind-the-scenes performance improvements and bug fixes stemming from tester feedback, though I also did add a few quality-of-life features and pulled back the difficulty just a bit by making enemy formations smaller across the entire game. Essentially, I made a bunch of incremental improvements over time, and don't have a hard changelog to show for it, so, here ya go!

This will also likely be the final demo version, barring some earth-shattering glitch coming to light. I plan to make the Steam storefront page live very soon, and this version will serve as the "official" demo on there as well. One thing to note - carrying a save from this version into the final game will grant you a thank-you bundle of items. All you have to do is download and run this version of the demo, load a save you might already have, and then just save it again - that should be it. When the full version is out, load that save again and you'll see a new bundle of items waiting under the "Spend Gildeds" menu option. A gift to you!

I'm feverishly getting the console versions working this week, and I hope to submit the PS4 version for QA late next week (with XBox One to follow). I'm on track to meet my original release dates, so we'll see if that holds true in the next few weeks.

Demo v0.3.4:
Yes, I'm still at it for some reason! Here's the changelog:

-Fixed an issue where a corrupted save file could cause the game to hang on the title screen.
-Save files which fail the integrity check will now be marked on the save screen as corrupt. They can be overwritten with good save data, but not loaded.
-Fixed an issue where the "Tired" status effect was preventing cooldowns from counting down.
-Fleeing assist characters should now face the correct direction.
-You can now back out of the main menu with the regular "cancel" button.
-Fixed an issue where quitting to the title screen while in the opening area would prevent music from playing on the title screen.
-Changed the graphic on Rik's "throw stone" targeting reticle.
-Slightly reduced gravity on Rik's "Throw Stone" projectiles, so they follow the targeting indicator more closely.

Demo v0.3.3:
Bug Fixes:
-SP counts will no longer turn red when low.
-Fixed an issue where the super defense "star" icon would disappear during the attack phase.
-Tox now has a proper animation when fleeing from battle.
-Fixed an issue where it was not possible to remove items from Rik's quiver specialty.
-Fixed an issue where the Quad Pro Quo board would appear empty after manually choosing cards if the computer player got to go first.
-Tox's first-turn SP bonus should no longer say "10 SP" while only restoring 5.
-Enemies should no longer seem to defend without taking up an obvious defensive pose.

Mechanical changes:
-Enemies who attack the Princess while she's guarding will generate SP now. Dodging attacks as Rik or Tox still prevents enemies from gaining SP.

Interface changes:
-When training, you will now get an indicator directly on the progress bars about how effective an item will be, and how much the training will cost!
-You will now receive a warning message when replacing an existing item on the Power Flow board.
-Added a warning screen on the title screen when running the game with less than the minimum requirements.

Demo v0.3.2:
Defending and using super defenses no longer costs SP. Fight hard!
The 5 SP minimum Momentum bonus given each turn has been removed.
Reduced the frequency of reinforcements in the Indigo Tines area.
Reduced the damage of enemy "Force Bolts" attacks.
Fixed a few animation errors when characters attacked in the world.
Added a little "hop" effect when tapping the jump button. In effect, there is now a minimum jump height for each character.
When playing on the keyboard, you can now have characters walk by holding the Left Shift key while moving.

The Tenth Line is a console-style RPG featuring a colorful cast of characters, unique battle and progression systems, quick 2D platforming action, and an original, fantastical story about friendship, faith, and finding your place in the world.

The Tenth Line is the first commercial game project from Sungazer Software. During your adventure, you'll guide the princess of the tiny nation of Easania, far from home and desperate to escape the clutches of a mysterious cult in hot pursuit. Along with her unusual but reliable companions, you'll explore a vibrant world of humans, beasts, and dragons, all struggling to coexist in the tension following the assassination of the king of the nation of Skyweather. Troubled times are ahead, indeed - the long-prophesied end of the world is fast approaching, and with only her wits, her blade, and her royal upbringing to guide her, can she make it home to her family before the end of days?

Gameplay involves adventuring through distinct areas using traditional 2D platforming mechanics, but with a twist: each character is controlled separately, and can move, attack, and interact with the world in unique ways. You'll also visit the occasional village or safe haven, and have an opportunity to take on new quests, play cards, and chat with the locals. Enemies roam the wilds, meanwhile, and can be engaged or ambushed by your heroes, thrusting your party into battle.

Battles are turn-based with an active timing element: you'll decide on commands for each character, then carry those attacks out using careful timing and targeting. Then, it's the enemy's turn to retaliate, giving your party an opportunity to defend. And, with up to twelve enemies on the offense at one time, survival is not always a safe bet. Fortunately, eliminating large numbers of foes at once will leave fewer attackers behind to retaliate, and will also grant your party more momentum, allowing for even more powerful skills to be used during the next attack!

Progression is handled solely by finding and applying items to your characters. Items are plentiful, and have multiple uses, so smart distribution of your treasures is key to survival. Characters can use items for training, powering up their skills and their defensive abilities, or use them to empower their "specialties" and gain a personal, tactical edge in combat. Your party members can also gain "power levels" by winning battles, completing quests, and collecting power fragments in the world. Power levels can be spent on the "Power Flow" board by playing a puzzle-like minigame to increase stats and unlock new skills. It is a challenging, refreshing method of "leveling up" that rewards careful planning and smart decisions.

A standard dual-analog gamepad is highly recommended, though the keyboard is supported.

The Tenth Line was developed in the Unity engine by one person over the course of two years. It is set to arrive on both major console platforms in the spring of 2017. Releases on both PC and Mac platforms are expected at around the same time. The game is 95% complete as of December 2016.

The Tenth Line will also support Steam Trading Cards and Steam Achievements. In addition, carrying a save game from the demo version into the full game will grant you bonus items, so try out the demo and get an early start!

Затягивающая игра! Сразу говорю, чтобы ловить кайф от игры и не ломать клавиши+пальцы, берите джойстики, ибо она создана под них. Очень приятная атмосфера, много историй, много разговоров, иногда просто их скипаешь и скипаешь, ибо немного надоедает, в остальном она прекрасна.
